NCICD Project in Two Locations Have Reached 90 Percent

The construction of the long-planned giant sea wall, also called the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD) in Pasar Ikan and Blencong River areas, Marunda, North Jakarta has reached 90 percent.

It is targeted to be completed this year. Then in Blencong River, it will finish next year,

Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Teguh Hendrawan stated, at the location, the rest of the construction is near the Bahari Museum as long as 1.2 km. 

"It is targeted to be completed this year. Then in Blencong River, it will finish next year," he expressed, Friday (11/23).

Dike Construction for NCICD Project in Marunda Reaches 63 Percent

He added that the work in Kamal Muara area is slightly slow due to several obstacles. However, in 2019, there will be another project with the target to be completed in 2020.

"This project is very important to prevent tidal waves (rob), including those caused by land subsidence on land," he stated.
